In 2008, I began my career as an elementary school teacher in Fairfield. I was thrilled to be working in the school system in which I grew up and to be given the opportunity to serve my community. When COVID-19 hit, I was asked to teach remotely for an entire year. While doubtful at first, I ended up loving the experience. Working from home allowed me to spend more time with my family and my own dog. I was happier than I’d been in a long time.
After returning to in-person teaching in 2021 and taking some time to reflect on my work, I realized that it was time for a change. I wanted more time with my wife and children, more time outside, and a greater sense of control over my days. I’m a lifelong dog owner and animal lover, so pet care seemed like the perfect fit.
So, that’s how Teacher’s Pet was born. I’m excited about this opportunity and look forward to spending time with your dogs.
